ALBA Robot is thrilled to announce it is a member of the FLITE Program, a program promoted by Gerald R. Ford International Airport (GRR) to support companies revolutionizing the aviation industry.
As one of the companies selected to participate in the FLITE (Ford Launchpad for Innovative Technologies and Entrepreneurship) Program, we had the extraordinary opportunity to bring our most up-to-date vehicle, the GTL 8x1, to the United States for the first time ever!
Thanks to the significant grant we have been awarded with, over the past two weeks we were able to test our smart mobility solution within Ford International Airport, simulating the transportation of Passengers with Reduced Mobility and providing them accessible and inclusive support by using our autonomous services.
It has been a wonderful experience, and it would not have been the same without the outstanding work and dedication of our CEO Andrea Bertaia, our North American Managing Director Daniel Chiaravalli and our brilliant engineers Antonio Marangi and Alfredo Baldò.
We sincerely thank Michigan Economic Development Corporation, Seamless Ventures, Southwest Airlines, West Michigan Aviation Academy and Prospect Airport Services, Inc. for the collaboration, knowing we share the same vision on the power of innovation to create a positive change and shape the future of air travel.
Through the use of cutting-edge technology, we aim to redefine the passenger experience, enhance airport accessibility and increase operational efficiency, we can’t wait to see where this new journey will take us!
