We recently started a collaboration with the Department of Control and Computer Engineering (DAUIN) at Politecnico di Torino, as part of the EDIH EXPAND - EXtended Piedmont and Aosta valley Network for Digitalization program, coordinated by CIM Competenze per Industria e Manifattura.
This partnership allows us to bring tangible innovation to our autonomous mobility systems.
As part of this initiative, our robotics team is undertaking an advanced deep learning training program, focused on neural network design and the use of computer vision.
We have also launched a PoC for the development of AI-based systems specifically designed to improve navigation in complex environments, where pedestrians and autonomous vehicles coexist.
For us, it is essential to continue investing in advanced training and applied research, working with top-tier academic institutions to turn technological challenges into real opportunities.
A big thank you to Politecnico di Torino and CIM 4.0 for making this possible and special thanks to Professor Barbara Caputo, co-director of the VANDAL lab together with Tatiana Tommasi, and to Giuseppe Averta and Niccolò Cavagnero for guiding and supporting us throughout the whole program.
