We are excited to be attending the Passenger Terminal Expo and Conference in Madrid from the 8th to the 10th of April!
PTExpoConf is the premier global event where airport professionals come together to discuss the latest industry trends, technologies and solutions.
During the conference, our CEO Andrea Bertaia took part in a panel discussion, moderated by Norman Fekrat, to address one of the most debated topics in aviation today: “Private Wireless Networks: Hype or Real Revolution?”.
The panel gathered industry experts to debate the true potential of private wireless networks, examining real-world applications within the aviation ecosystem and the long-term implications for connected airports. The conversation went beyond the buzzwords to examine how private wireless networks (PWNs) are already transforming airport operations — enabling real-time data, automation and connected infrastructure at an unprecedented scale.

Andrea presented ALBA Robot’s vision for “Orchestrated Smart Mobility”, highlighting:
- The rapidly growing demand for mobility assistance in airports
- How connected autonomous fleets can enhance independence for millions of Passengers with Reduced Mobility (PRM)
- The critical role of low-latency, resilient networks in orchestrating elevators, teleoperation, digital twins and remote driving
From real-world deployments to the future of autonomous operations, the discussion explored how PWNs are paving the way for smarter, more inclusive airports — transforming connectivity into true empowerment for passengers and operators.
Huge thanks to Samuel Ingalls and Maurice Jenkins for putting together such an inspiring panel and for having us – it was an absolute privilege to be part of it!
Let’s rethink airport mobility, together!
